So– what’s next?
- Our first meeting will be a no-obligation general chat about what you would like for your special day.
- If you then decide to go ahead with me, your next step is to make a firm booking, by means of your contract and deposit. This will be of advantage to both of us, as it secures the date of your wedding and will also cover you as far as possible in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
- I’ll then provide you with a simple questionnaire, covering different aspects of your ceremony. If you prefer we can meet and go through the details together.
- This will give me a clearer idea of what you might like; we can use it as a reference point for our next meeting, which will be a longer one, when we’ll plan the ceremony together, based on what you’d like for your day.
- I’ll then write your complete draft wedding text and send it to you for your approval and any amendments.
- The next step is for us to redraft the script together until you’re both happy with it. If any further meetings are needed that can be arranged, although email and telephone contact at this stage is often simpler all round.
- We’ll also fix a time and date for a walk-through at the venue in advance if possible, so that everyone is confident they know what to expect.
- The balance of the fee is due no later than one week before the wedding.
- After the ceremony, I’ll give you a Presentation Copy of your wedding script as a record and memento of your day.
Fees
No ceremony is the same and all couples have different requirements—from a traditional wedding length of around 40 minutes to a minimalist ceremony which might simply be a private renewal of vows… and further possibilities in between. Similarly not all couples have the same circumstances and budget constraints, so please get in touch by phone or email for an individual quote and we can find an arrangement that suits us both.
